That's it, I'm officially quitting grad school!!
Yep, you heard me. I'm not kidding.
The new (and most likely fantastic) documentary detailing the history of Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, 'Runnin' Down a Dream,' is playing at the Downer Theater (and other select theaters nation wide) on ONE night only - October 15, 2007, at 7pm. That's right, a Monday.
Guess what else I have scheduled on Monday nights...... ...... ..... (did you guess yet?).....
Advanced statistics - formally titled "Methods of Research and Analysis for Urban Social Institutions II (or in layman's terms, "kill yourself") - until 7:10pm. Yeah.
Now that school is officially getting in the way of my desire to know and see everything about Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, I guess it is indeed time to throw in the proverbial towel.
What a sad day. I was really getting into grad school (as you may have guessed from the recent lack of posts).
Then again, I could just go BUY the movie when it comes out on DVD.
It would just be SO cool to see it in the theater! (I know, I = ridiculous.)
I hope to be back here again soon (y'know, with a real update), but if not, just know that advanced stats, urban health policy, sociology of religion, and (of course) WORK have me strongly in their grasp until at least the end of December. This isn't necessarily a bad thing... I like learning things.
